Re: Disabling/Purging Student Accounts

Hi Dave,

When the student graduated we convert their account to alumni account with reduced access/permissions. We then disable
the alumni account if there is no activity for more than one year.

For students who have withdrawn, the accounts are disabled after 30 days.

For students who have been dismissed, the accounts are disabled after a day, except if the dismissed student filling
for appeal, the account remains active during the appeal process. The account is then disabled after a day if the
appeal is rejected.

For non-matriculated students, the account is disabled at the end of the semester after the last class ended.

Regards

We are currently reviewing our Student login account, such as desktops and other commonly used systems, retention
policy. We currently allow for several years and are considering something along the lines of one year after
graduation/last class taken. I am curious as to what others have as their retention policy, and if there are any
delineations.
