As you're hopefully winding down your week and looking ahead to your schedule for next week, I hope you will make time
on your calendar for my next Member QuickTalk on federal policy, which is scheduled for Thursday, September 30, from
3:00 - 4:00 PM, Eastern Time.

With major spending bills, the debt ceiling, and continued funding of the government all in play, we'll have plenty of
macro-level topics to talk about, especially when we think about what they mean for colleges and universities. Closer
to home, though, there are important issues of specific interest to EDUCAUSE members circulating just beneath the
headlines-cybersecurity (e.g., CMMC, Federal Student Aid cybersecurity compliance, incident reporting and information
sharing legislation), broadband access and affordability, Section 230 liability protection, and more.

EDUCAUSE Member QuickTalks focus on dialogue, not presentation, so meet me online and let's discuss the federal policy
concerns that you and your peers have in mind. For more information about participating, please see
https://events.educause.edu/member-quicktalks/2021/infrastructure-reconciliation-and-beyond. Thanks! - Jarret Cummings
