It looks like ISS will continue w/solaris and others. I do not want to start a OS Holy War, but Unix is the best fit for RealSecure. On Oct 21, 10:11am, Reuss, Carolyn (ISSAtlanta) wrote:
Subject: RE: (Fwd) RealSecure on Solaris Sirs, RealSecure engines are indeed committed to Unix platforms. Their design is to work 24/7, thus Unix platforms are often considered more appropriate by some customers. We are actually adding HPUX and AIX support for the RealSecure System Agent year-end. The only caveat is that we have seen diminishing support for Solaris x86 engine and are expecting to migrate to another more popular Unix platform in the next year. RealSecure Console today is GUI intensive. We are able to be much more responsive to customers by not having to maintain cross-platform GUI functionality. Most customers have not minded a couple of NT machines for management. Those that do use our SDK management API, or HPOV or upcoming Tivoli Plug ins for management.
