Hi,

I just wanted to say thanks to all for the helpful hints, suggestions and potential headache remedies. I greatly 
appreciate the input. As to the exact nature of the firewall in question it is an "IBM SecureWay Firewall for AIX" (IBM 
marketing naming con.) where the firewall is version 4.3 and the AIX is 4.3 as well. The reason for the confusion, mea 
cupla, is that I was relying upon the IBM marketing material which repeatedly referred to it as "IBM firewall for AIX".
