Top IPS vendors - please read for invitation to Network World review.

Folks:

Network World is doing a head-to-head comparison on IPS (NOT IDS) products, which we have defined (for the sake of argument and simplicity) as "anything inline which can drop packets."

After we do a review, the first and most vocal responses always come from people asking "why wasn't <x> reviewed?" Most of the time, it's because <x> is made by a gutless company unwilling to have their product compared in a head-to-head way with others, but some percentage of the time, it's because "we forgot to ask them." Ergo, mea culpa.

So... before we draw the line under our existing vendor list, this is our last gasp attempt to find out if we missed anyone.

THEREFORE: any IPS vendors out there who have no idea what I'm talking about, please drop me a note for a copy of the invitation. Note that the deadlines are actually past; this is just my checking to see if there's anyone out there we forgot. So, if you work for an IPS/IDS vendor and you're NOT Barbed Wire, Lancope, Intrusion, Cisco, NFR, ISS, SourceFire, Enterasys, Captus, Deep Nines, Lattis, Tipping Point, Mazu, TopLayer, NetScreen, Lucid, or Radware... drop me a line asap.
