Someone could write a book to answer your question. There are several
books on Snort that you should buy.
Snort and IDS Tools by O'Reilly is a great book and also Snort 2.0 by
Syngress is also a good book to answer some of your questions..

Hi,
Does anyone have experience with snort reports? How do
you deal with the loads of information? Is there a way
to generate reports that eliminate the false
positives? Any help will be appreciated.
