In the later 'Old days', instead of fisticuffs, some people invented core wars. These kind of fighting evolved into several life forms, including computer viruses et all. What I mean to say is: people interested in security issues might learn things about the mind of certain individuals, that might help catch the perps, not just fence them out. Of course we won't need endless specimens to study these, but security interested people should see some, yeah. If we must wear a virtual tie to be in here, well, ah, we might still be at bugthingie. ----- Original Message ----- From: "richard childers / kg6hac" <fscked () pacbell net> To: <> Sent: Friday, January 10, 2003 1:23 AM Subject: [Full-disclosure] re pubescent public rages
This aims to be a forum for professionals; not those whom wear pocket
protectors, but those whom *profess* to be interested in security issues.
Would you gentlemen please keep your pubescent rages against the machine
and each other out of this forum?
You know, in the old days, people invited each other outside to engage in
this sort of fisticuffs. It was only with the advent of Hollywood and the thirst for fodder to keep the yokels gapin', that fights in bar rooms became commonplace. In the real world, if two guys started bustin' up the bar, they *both* got thrown out.
This ain't Hollywood. We're not actors. Some are poseurs and if so, time
will tell.
We now return you to the world of full disclosure. Not full exposure -
disclosure.
