If Fedora is the core of Red Hat ES then if Fedora's core release is

ES 3.0 is already out -- visit www.redhat.com, you can't miss it :).
The relationship between the two is described on fedora.redhat.com as:

---
The Fedora Project is one of the sources for new technologies and
enhancements that may be incorporated into Red Hat Enterprise Linux in
the future.
---

That has been interpreted by some (me included) as meaning that Fedora
packages may flow from Fedora to future RHEL versions. But right now
they are sort of neck & neck: Fedora has some things RHEL hasn't, and
vice-versa, but "big" changes are in both.
