There is one benefit of top posting that some people find useful, on some mobile devices it is configured as default to download only the first 10 lines of a message, same deal with some email to sms services.
Did you read what you wrote? Are you seriously suggesting that top posting is the way to go for SOME people on SOME devices? Email to SMS is not relevant. Anyone who signs up to a mailing list on such a gateway gets what they paid (through the a$$) for.
HTML email is not welcome in this context as all you see is the tags occupying the first dozen or so rows before you get any context and bottom posting also tends to lose anything useful.
I'm replying from a mobile device and inline PGP sigs annoy me more than HTML. Same would have been true on my previous phone. That's not to say I'm going to start posting in HTML because, well, that'd be rude. Just like top posting is. _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
