Actually, I made quite heavy use of the Dr Solly integrity checker for a
while as an AV admin in the 90s. It didn't suit every environment, so I
didn't mandate it, but I supported and encouraged it. After the acquisition
by Another Company, there was quite a rough patch so I migrated to another
product with limited integrity checking built into the scanner. Before I
left, though, I migrated again to one of the big two, because I knew no-one
was going to give the time to anti-malware maintenance that I had. And sure
enough, they brought someone in whose experience was with that product.
