Macs rock. It's hard to say bad things about them, except for the fact
that Apple charges outrageous amounts of money and there really isn't
good support for left-mouse clicking (something I'm addicted to).

But we have 2 at the house along with an assortment of Windows boxes,
and they're really quite nice.

Now, pre OS X, that's a different story. Previous OS versions would
routinely crash and were just a very unpleasant experience. Only the
artsy types seemed to have had the patience to put up with all the crap.

Simply put, a Mac is a UNIX box with a great GUI that runs most
commercial, off-the-shelf software that people actually want. For me,
that's worth paying a premium.

Yeah, yeah, nitpick about Mach, blah, blah, blah...

Are you at risk doing stupid things with a Mac? Sure, just like
you're at risk if you do stupid things with linux.

Apples are the Hybrid of the computer world. Yes, they are Very
Nice. And we really are impressed that you have one. And, yes, I
hear that they can even run most applications these days.

Now go away.
