I used Gnome as my primary desktop for years. The term lipstick on a
pig springs to mind.

When I finally decided I didn't want to be a computer hobbyist any
more, i.e., constantly tinkering to get my machine to work "just so",
that's when I bought a Mac.

Simply put, a Mac is a UNIX box with a great GUI that runs most

Great GUI? So explain the stuck in the 80s concept of the menu bar
at the top? And don't misquote Fitt's law, like most Mac fan boys
(because they forget the second and most important bit). Also
explain the vast amount of wasted space.

Me, I'd rather use Windows than Mac OS X. But, a customised Gnome
with Compiz shows up both Doze and Mac OS X.
