Absolutely there are. Mitnick for example, probably many more. Precedence doesn't make it right though ;-) It's one of my "pet peeves" so to speak, and something that I feel is wrong with our industry. I should mention that I have no problem with learning from one's mistakes nor with employing people that have made mistakes in the past. My concern is around rewarding those mistakes (or seeming to anyway). We're doing something wrong as an industry when companies are so desperate for "talent" that they throw themselves at people who have taken (what I see as) the low road beause they see that as an indication of skill. We're doing something wrong as a society when that becomes the norm. *shrug*. It's all personal interpretation I suppose, and I'm willing to accept that I could be mistaken. I honestly don't think I am though =) -- jason _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
