You obviously don't do much "round-tripping" with OOO-created/edited 
documents.

It would be extremely polite to say that OOO is very, very, shite in 
this regard.

At least Word opens and correctly displays documents that have not been 
mangled in transit or by OOO.  Word is shite in lots and lots of ways 
that OOO is more or less shite in, but minimally to be able to open its 
own documents means Word is a hands-down winner on _basic 
functionality_ issues...
