I ran the shell script to start honeyd and got this: + ./honeyd -f honeyd.conf -p nmap.prints -x xprobe2.conf -a nmap.assoc -0 pf.os -l /var/log/honeyd 192.168.1.100-192.168.1.255 honeyd[4526]: started with -f honeyd.conf -p nmap.prints -x xprobe2.conf -a nmap.assoc -0 pf.os -l /var/log/honeyd 192.168.1.100-192.168.1.255 Warning: Impossible SI range in Class fingerprint "Windows NT 4 SP3" honeyd[4526]: listening on eth0: (arp or ip proto 47 or (ip and (dst net 192.168.1.100/30 or dst net 192.168.1.104/29 or dst net 192.168.1.112/28 or dst net 192.168.1.128/25))) and not ether src 00:0d:56:04:ce:df Could not find platform independent libraries <prefix> Could not find platform dependent libraries <exec_prefix> Consider setting $PYTHONHOME to <prefix>[:<exec_prefix>] 'import site' failed; use -v for traceback Honeyd starting as background process I would like to know about the lines: Could not find platform independent libraries <prefix> Could not find platform dependent libraries <exec_prefix> Consider setting $PYTHONHOME to <prefix>[:<exec_prefix>] 'import site' failed; use -v for traceback What are they actually? Can they be ignored actually? So what I am looking for is Honeyd starting as background process that shows that honeyd has started. Hope someone can explain. Thanks a million James __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Finance: Get your refund fast by filing online. http://taxes.yahoo.com/filing.html
