we've been over this before - see Roy Maxion's excellent RAID presentations on IDS measurement and testing requirementsfor some idea ofwhat's actually needed, as opposed to the usual benchmarketing...Is this on-line anywhere? I'd love to read it....
The only thing I see Roy participating in for the 1999 RAID is this panel. Panel: Detecting Malicious Insider Misuse Panel Chair: Richard Brackney (NSA), USA Participants: Roy Maxion (CMU), Eugene Spafford (Purdue University), Mark Wood (ISS), Yves Deswarte (LAAS-CNRS & Microsoft Research) If that is the activity referenced above, then there was nothing distributed with the proceedings. I've attached the conference agenda. If anyone wants a copy of a paper, let me know and I will be happy to send it out.
