We wound up taking 2 versions we were working on and putting their features all into the same development cycle, so 5.0 has a lot more features than originally planned in the Feb release.
So are you saying one can have a separate Report Engine instead of running the Report Generator from the Console???
Yes. In fact, I don't think there's any reason why you couldn't have several of them, if you wanted. You could have one machine running the console GUI (actually, you can have several of those, too!) and another doing nothing but pulling things into ODBC and running Crystal Reports, and (if you wanted) another pulling it into PERL.
