All,
Something important for all the patriotic script kiddies out there to think
about, if you really want to do your nation a favor, lock your desktop, then
go out and donate blood.

As I sit here passing my 28th non-stop hour, the physical terrorism aspect is more than enough to track and deal with. The cyber component is the last thing we need to deal with. It is unfortunately something I believe we will end up seeing, either in relation to the above or in response to any possible future retaliatory actions by the US. - Ben Venzke* ----- Original Message -----From: "Rich Puhek" <rpuhek () etnsystems com>To: <incidents () securityfocus com> Sent: Tuesday, September 11, 2001 2:45 PM Subject: Terroristic attacks todayHas anyone seen, or does anyone anticipate any security threats on the Internet or Internet-based attacks on any given targets in connection with this mornings terroristic attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon? I hadn't considered the possibility, assuming that parties that would fly planes into buildings aren't likely to be interested in writing viruses. We did have one customer voluntarily disable their Internet connection for the next 24-hours out of concern for "viruses". They said something about a warning from the FBI. The FBI's website is apparantly> unreachable (or overloaded) at the moment.- -- ______________________ IntelCenter Voice (703) 370-2962 Fax (703) 370-1571 Email - information () intelcenter com Web - http://www.intelcenter.com PGP Public Key - available upon request PO Box 22572 Alexandria, VA 22304-9257 USA -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 6.5.2 iQA/AwUBO5+Q5/76H8QHdGcYEQLnnQCdGwv1LR040nX8ud+pBnNcnJOSKnQAnj2W t4bQfRwLlHJcLUKRZZ1Xfy2g =CPZo -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- - This list is provided by the SecurityFocus ARIS analyzer service.
