MEMORANDUM FOR ALL INTERESTED PARTIES

National Telecommunications and Information Administration
SUBJECT: Public Meeting on the Information Society and Development
(ISAD) Conference
I would like to invite you to participate in a public meeting
regarding the upcoming Information Society and Development (ISAD)
Conference. The Conference is scheduled for May 13-15, 1996 in South
Africa and will include over 40 developed and developing countries. The
meeting will be held:
Monday, April 22, 1996
10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Room 4830
U.S. Department of Commerce
(please use the Main Entrance located at
14th Street and Constitution Avenue)
The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the U.S.
government goals and objectives and the latest developments regarding
the Conference. Following a brief presentation, those present at the
meeting will have the opportunity to ask questions or make comments.

by noon, Friday, April 19, 1996. If you have any questions, please
