While the SecureScape announcement (below) certainly raises policy issues for
the U.S. government, I think that your readers should be aware that Israel is
not exactly an Encryption Free Trade Zone.
In fact, Israel's licensing and regulatory regime is probably more extensive
than that of the United States. Which means that SecureScape users and
investors will be entirely dependent on the good will of the Israeli
government.
Some may feel that that's better than being dependent on the good will of the
U.S. government, but Cipherpunk Heaven it ain't.
