Since New Year's Day, 1995, CapWeb has been the starting point of choice 
for zillions (ok, probably many thousands) of netizens seeking 
information about and access to the U.S. Congress on the Internet.  
CapWeb has now partnered with Net.Capitol (www.netcapitol.com), a 
leading edge techology company that provides Information Technology 
solutions for government and government affairs organizations.  CapWeb 
and Net.Capitol bring together a wealth of experience with the Congress 
and online campaigns that will help guide CapWeb's visitors through 
Congress' wired web.


The 105th Congress is now underway, and after many months of work by a 
team of hundreds (ok, a few guys), CapWeb has been updated, renovated, 
relocated, and rejuvenated, and is already helping folks track down and 
keep watch over the people in the "people's branch" of our government.


As it did before in the 104th Congress, CapWeb provides information about 
every member of Congress (address, phone, committee assignments, etc), 
and when available links to members own e-mail addresses and home pages 
as well.  But CapWeb is much more than just an online member directory.  
There are hundreds (ok, many) new and improved features on CapWeb, and 
more planned for the near future such as:


* The Hill - CapWeb Edition
  read weekly articles from the largest circulated publication on Capitol 
Hill


* Citizen Direct
  a confidential electronic forum between the American people and their 
Congress


* Capitol Hill Diaries (coming soon)
  read the cyber-musings of the people behind the scenes at work on the 
Hill


* interactive voting, live chats, and much more also coming soon (OK, 
pretty soon).
