For example, the ability to find good partitionings of large irregular, dynamic and adaptive meshes is critical for efficient execution of many computational simulations on high- performance computers. A two-day workshop on graph partitioning applications is being held at the Army High Performance Computing Research Center (AHPCRC) at the University of Minnesota to bring together researchers working on graph partitioning algorithms as well as researchers who need partitioning techniques to solve their problems. The workshop will provide a forum for presentation of new formulations as well as algorithms for graph partitioning and novel, innovative applications of graph partitioning.
