Should we point out that among the members of the movie and record 
industry that lobbied for the U.S. DMCA law is one very large Dutch 
electronics company that owns a significant portion of American music 
intellectual property? And then there are those large German, Canadian, 
and Japanese companies that own a fair portion of the rest of American 
movie and music intellectual property, and that were very happy to have an 
American law protecting their interests. Or is that being too nasty?

Follow the money, I say.
