With 150 years of practice in the acronym business;
it's about time our Gov't got it right! (~_~)B
<< Almost 150 years. ago, President Lincoln found it necessary to
hire a private investigator - Mr. Alan Pinkerton. He was actually the
beginning of the Secret Service>>.
Since that time federal police authority has grown to a large number
of three-letter agencies - FBI, CIA, INS, IRS, DEA, ATF, BOP, DOD,
etc.
As you probably have heard, effective 17 Feb., 2002, a new
organization called the "Federal Air Transportation Airport Security
Service" took over airport security at selected major airports in a
pilot program (no pun intended).
Can't you just see it now; the new service in their black outfits
with their big agency initials in large white letters across their
backs......"
FATASS
It's got to put a smile on your face as you stand in line with your shoes
off !
