I highly recommend it to IP readers interested in the details. In the light of the gummi fingerprint failures, the very error-prone airport face-geometry-recognition experiment, etc., there are many risks with these technologies that must be recognized. Caveat emptor is clearly in order. Technology Assessment Using Biometrics for Border Security GAO-030174, November 14, 2002 The entire report is available at http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d03174.pdf PGN ------ End of Forwarded Message ------------------------------------- You are subscribed as interesting-people () lists elistx com To unsubscribe or update your address, click http://v2.listbox.com/member/?listname=ip Archives at: http://www.interesting-people.org/archives/interesting-people/
