It seems that Apple has met with representatives from 100+ independent record labels about adding them to the iTunes music store. The high order bits are: * essentially the same deal as the big labels * all sales reported to SoundScan * Labels only, no independent musicians * Apple's not going to deal with 200 different lawyers -- all the indies are being offered the same deal, take it or leave it.
