Are you kidding me? The proper way to forensically search a hard drive is to do exactly that, mirror image. This stops any programs from destroying potentially incriminating evidence. On the flip side, if the search warrant affidavit did not specify they were looking for adult or sexually orientated evidence, it may be deemed outside the four-corners of the search warrant. Now, the only thing he can't complain about would be sexual material with minors, e.g., child pornography. Anything else could be covered under the 4th amendment and Electronic Communications Protection Act, (ECPA) and or any other privacy law.

"Michael Alan Crooker, currently in jail in Connecticut, says security features advertised by Microsoft and its business partners should have kept federal agents from accessing the files on his PC. In court papers filed this week in Massachusetts Superior Court, Crooker says he "suffered great embarrassment" as a result of Microsoft's failure to keep the FBI's prying eyes off his computer."

"In the court papers, Crooker says he already has reached settlements with Hewlett-Packard, which owns the Compaq brand, and Circuit City."
