I couldn't find any references to the actual data collection methods of say,

Residential telephone connection charge* 7
Residential monthly telephone subscription* 34
High-speed monthly broadband subscription* 2
Lowest cost of broadband* 3
Cost of mobile telephone call*

For example,
One-time residential telephone connection charge (US$) as a percentage of
GDP per capita>

Source: International Telecommunication Union [i]World Telecommunication
Indicators 2007[i]; International Monetary Fund [i]World Economic Outlook
Database[i] (October 2007 edition) ; national sources

In short - gobblygook data.. Did the 'connection charge include taxes and
surcharges? Did it use the FCCs' (worthless) numbers, which has nothing to
do with what it actually cost to get a phone line installed as compared to
actual phone bills?

Did it average all states using some other data point? Did it use phone
bills? (doubtful.)

If the actual data is available, please send it along.

Bruce Kushnick.
