I have loads of associates who react as follows:
"If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear" to which I reply "who knows where they will take this in the 
future?" While you may not have anything to hide at present, perhaps they'll make membership of this mailing list an 
offence and prosecute retroactively.
