Sure, LBJ stole a Senate election back in the paper ballot days,
but that's nothing like the ease of election corruption we have
with Diebold.

Some people say it's too hard to build an electronic voting
machine.  This is like back in 1993 when people were still
saying it was too hard to build a big distributed hypertext
system, until TBL tossed out the backlinks and just did it.
Besides, if it really is too hard, just don't do it!
Use paper.

It's only the fate of the country with almost half of global
military spending and most of the nukes, not to mention
the one whose currency is currently dropping like a rock;
that's all we're talking about here.

Fortunately, several states have thrown out Diebold.

As Tom Fairlie said, if the (Bush) Dept. of Justice was
interested in justice, it would have done the same,
and instituted open source voting standards.

This should be an issue in the current presidential
and Congressional elections.  What's the best way
to make it one?
