Perhaps you and IP’ers can share your wisdom on the legality and  
commercial propriety of FILE SHARING, specifically music.

The Recording Industry Association of America, RIAA, is rapaciously  
pursuing people who engage in music file trading.  At the heart of the  
legal matter before a Massachusetts court are the Digital Theft  
Deterrence and Copyright Damages Improvement Act of 1999 and,  
eventually I expect, the assault/defense of various fundamental

As an owner of intellectual property, how can one allow such wanton  
trespass on his/her clearly and unequivocally obvious rights?

And yet, millions of files, ‘other people’s stuff’, are being passed  
about with heretofore perceived impunity.  One on hand you have the  
creator and unchallenged owner of the property.  On the other, many  
people who are getting benefit from that property without any  
consideration to the owners of that property.
