A very mixed exposure to Amazon bookstore – – the real one

As many of you know I have an  apartment in New York City in the Chelsea area of town. I'll be here for at least the 
next six months. I wanted to get an Alexa device for my apartment so I went to the Amazon book store in Columbus Circle 
right across the street from the Trump Hotel.

The staff was reasonably competent except for the cashierWho is totally confused much of the time. Even though the 
directions to the store say  you can check out automatically with the Amazon app. It does not work!! You have to 
actually go and stand in line ( a slow line) for the cashier.

I initially bought an  Amazon Dash and paid for it via my Amazon account. I then realized that I would rather look at 
the other models of the Alexa devices. I decided to get the Tap. So I went to the cashier assuming that I could return 
the Dot. No such luck. I was told it would take between one hour and one day for the charge to appear on their system 
so I could return it for a refund and get the Tap. You got to be kidding!!! No alternatives were offered even though I 
asked.

Amazon has a major mess on its hands if that is the level of the technology.

Anyway if you're in New York give me a boss
