Hi list.
I'm in the process of installing Metasploit on a CentOS 5 box and got some
issues:
When starting msfconsole (same issue for msfgui or msfweb), I get the
following error message:
[root at wac-srv-pent-03 metasploit]# ./msfgui
./lib/rex/socket/ssl_tcp_server.rb:4:in `require': no such file to load --
openssl (LoadError)
from ./lib/rex/socket/ssl_tcp_server.rb:4
from ./lib/rex/socket/comm/local.rb:5:in `require'
from ./lib/rex/socket/comm/local.rb:5
from ./lib/rex/socket.rb:22:in `require'
from ./lib/rex/socket.rb:22
from ./lib/rex.rb:71:in `require'
from ./lib/rex.rb:71
from ./msfgui:10:in `require'
from ./msfgui:10
This looks like openssl is not installed, however it IS installed:
[root at wac-srv-pent-03 ~]# ruby --version
ruby 1.8.6 (2007-03-13 patchlevel 0) [i686-linux]
[root at wac-srv-pent-03 ~]# rpm -q --all | grep openssl
openssl-0.9.8b-8.3.el5
Any idea about what could go wrong here ???
Thanks !
