That's fair for networks where an AS's prefixes mostly share the
same paths. In my experience it isn't always the case -- we run
50+ prefixes and regularly steer individual ranges (tagging to
shift a path, announcing some prefixes only to certain upstreams),
so each prefix can end up with quite a different path. That's when
a per-prefix view actually helps.
