Nmap Issue

Hey there. Don't want to take up too much time, so I'll get to it.

Just installed Nmap 3.75 as well as Winpcap. However when I attempt to use Namp in the "cmd" prompt, much like the 
example you provided, it results in an "Illegal Operation" and cancels the scan (I'm running Windows...not surprised :P 
).

What do I do oh guru?


INFO
Nmap Version: 3.75
Winpcap Installed
OS: Windows XP/SP1

ACTIONS
1) RUN= "cmd"
2) C:\> cd nmap
3) C:\nmap>
4) C:\nmap>nmap -A -T4 scanme.insecure.org (I've tried other sites too)
5) ("Illegal Operation" window opens and reverts back to "C:\nmap>")
