Also, I believe that the problem where it always tries to do an OS- scan is fixed, but having a more descriptive error message ('requires r00t') would be helpful.I'm not sure what you are suggesting here.
I believe Ron means that os_scan2 tells the user something cryptic if the user isn't root. Something in the lines of getsomething() couldn't get fingerprint. That is not the case any more since the r00t absence is caught in the argument parsing section and not in the os_scan2() section.
