Thanks Sebastián - that could be the most detailed initial error
report I've ever received :).  Usually it takes several rounds of
back-and-forth to get all that.  I also received a report of what I
think was the same problem from Craig Humphrey.  Please find a
candidate patch attached.  If you get a chance, would you apply it and
let us know if it solves the problem?
