nmap hangs

Platform: 
        CYGWIN_NT-5.1 1.5.24  (invoke from cygwin prompt)
        Nmap version 4.21ALPHA4  (Windows Version)

Invocation format: nmap -T4 -sP -iL nmap-host-list.txt > checked-ip-list.txt

Problem: nmap hangs when the list >462 lines 

It appears to be erratic.  Sometimes it might allow 462 lines!  But, that is about where nmap falls apart.  > 465 
consistently cause nmap to hang (cpu usage >97%).

Hope this helps to discover and fix the bug.  

Or let me know, if it is just my particlular configuration..
