Bitgod,

        Can you retest this using the same version of nmap on both platforms?
There were quite a few changes between 4.03 and 4.76.

That should tell you what type of traffic you are should expect to see going forward.
If, at that point, you could share some of the relevant log information from the firewall
and the debug output from nmap I would expect that someone here can either explain what
you are seeing or identify a potential problem.
