About service identification

Hi:
Short question: Is there any way to restrict to some services the process of service identification?
Long question: Suppose you are searching for http (or whatever) services outside their assigned port and do not care
for other services.
Right now, I am using
nmap localhost -p1-9099,9101-65535 -sV -T5 --version-intensity 0
but if I were searching for a not so common service, it would take a lot of time.
Thank you
Charli
pd: I've already sent mistakenly this mail to Nmap Hackers Mailing List, sorry
