nmap-updater status?

i am just an average user to nmap, so i have no idea what you all discuss each day behind-the-scenes about it's inner 
workings and all. i ran that updater and it spits out something like "this is experimental, only a chosen few are 
allowed access to it" etc. can i ask why this is? is this a hard thing to implement? for everyone to have the ability 
to use it? a simple cmd to run an update and pull everything new off the nmap host site and update oldest files and 
scripts to newest? so someone please let me know if you are working on this or if it will still only be "certain users" 
allowed to use it. thanks
