Hello devs,

This week, most of my work was about finishing some previous work, testing my commits and some investigation about
documentation. I have started preparing for the last week of GSOC but this week I will try to finish all the work I
have already started. I think my timing is good so I will be able to correct some issues before next week. Feel free to
give feedback.

Accomplishments:
• Finished PR #484 and sent the commit to the SVN trunk, thanks to Dan's explanations
• Worked on "Make Ncat avoid linking with libpcap even when it's available" (PR #489) — Nsock can now be built in
a seperate directory
• Corrected a bad fix for silencing compiler warning (overloaded functions), which is now fixed for good (PR
#479) and has been sent to the SVN trunk
• Finalized, tested, sent and tested again the designed DMG creator script on Mac, to which I added a checker
script to be sure everything went fine. The final DMG has now the instructionnal background and a new MPKG (installer
on Mac OS) background (PR #454)
• Suggested a solution to Dan about PR #471 — I need to do some more work on it, but we now have a reasonable
solution, respecting the code's logic
• Opened a new PR (#491) to hide makefile.dep inclusion warnings
• Began lurking the documentation to find out what chapters will need modifications

Priorities:
• Finish PR #471
• Continue PR #489 to support separate build directories for the whole source tree (which would lead to a big
speedup in build times)
• Find a workaround to issue #472
• Work on issue #447
• Send a maximum of PRs during the week, to be sure I will not be short on time completing GSOC

Thanks to Dan for his guidance and work!

Cheers,
Vincent Dumont
