Introduction

Hi devs,

I'm Pranjal, studying prefinal year undergrad CSE and I'm new to Nmap,
I've been interested in netsec for a long time, and always wanted to
develop for nmap, but didn't have the required networking knowledge
until recently.

I wanted to participate in GSoC 2016 through NMap, but as I said,
didn't know about networking then, so I had to go with another org.
I've learnt a lot since then, and I'd like to try this year.

That said, I haven't done a lot of network programming before. What
level of knowledge and experience do you typically look for in your
students?

As an aside, I tried to subscribe to the mailing list through the
page, but haven't received a confirmation mail. What could be the
reason?
