NMAP v7.50 not working properly in Virtual Guest (Kali Linux)

Hi, I've noticed a problem when running nmap version 7.50 in a Kali Linux Guest virtual environment (both VMWare Player and VirtualBox with adapter in Bridged mode) with Windows 7 host. Problem: When running an all port scan (nmap -v -p- -A <target_IP_address>) against a target (e.g. (metasploitable2) the scan doesn't finish. Further Details: When scan is launched and after discovering the first handful of open ports it (nmap) increases the send delay a number of times and then each successive 'SYN Stealth Scan Timing:' update has a longer time remaining than the previous update and this goes on indefinitely (or until I stop the unfeasibly long scan). If I roll back to nmap version 7.40 this same scan completely finishes in about 4 minutes. This is the first time I've reported such a finding/bug so please accept my apologies if the format of my report is not up to scratch and please don't hesitate to contact me if you require any further information. Regards, Neville. ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the Symantec Email Security.cloud service.
