The gps in them is ok but all the ones we've tried haven't been as accurate as the gps in my G1 phone. It is to do with the size of the antenna which has to be small due to the small form factor. Even half decent handheld GPS units can have trouble indoors.
Some of the ones I've tested work when sat in the window, others have had to be in the middle of a playing field for quite a while before they get a lock. Robin
