This is exactly why I want an interview, to explain things like this.

Check out their LocatePC software that will send an email from your PC

"A user will need to have a POP email account for LocatePC to send them
email. LocatePC can only send email if a user is logged in to the PC,
and the PC is connected to the Internet. LocatePC does not support HTTP
proxy servers, mail servers that use SSL or SPA or IMAP, including Gmail
and Hotmail2, or email accounts that only work when the PC is connected
to a specific ISP."

I shall let their statement speak for itself.

Jim

p.s. I'm not 100% certain after reading the above statement that
LocatePC actually supports email :-/

So this company appeared on the DC3 digest for the day and I've
got to admit, I'm really puzzling over it. The article on CNN made me
wonder how they decided to focus on Ligatt. Ligatt's website only
increased the the feeling that this couldn't be for real. Now I see a
press release from them being highlighted by the DoD Cyber Crime Center.

What the heck? How does a company that sounds this squirrely
get to be taken seriously?

For those interested, here's the press release that was in
today's DC3 email.

So after reading some of the site, I am CONVINCED that
this is the "hacker's" version of The Onion. It's the only thing that
makes any sense.
