I turned off my proxy, reset iptables, and disabled ip_forwarding. I did
this to ensure that none of them would be possibly impacting my test of
just ettercap.
I ran ettercap with the command: ettercap -TqM arp:remote /192.168.1.134//
192.168.1.1/
When executing the chk_poison plugin, it states: Poisoning process
succesful!.
Then when executing the command 'c' to see the connection list, it shows
only port 53 being connected.
Connections list:
192.168.1.134:60621 - 192.168.1.1:53 U active TX: 68
Thus it may be something with the virtual machine. I'll have to retry from
a physical machine.
