Coursera.org has some great free University quality courses programming and other aspects of computer science. I would check out two courses in particular that teach Python, both put on by the University of Toronto (an Ivy League equivalent school). Learn to Program: The Fundamentals Learn to Program: Crafting Quality Code The start date for both has passed but you can go through the material on your own in the archive, at your own pace.
