Yes, the thought that this guy would be sued is ridiculous.

The interesting point is that the fact that these sort of "the DMCA is
killing me" claims get continuing media play is powerful evidence that the
RIAA is still paying for the utter fiasco of the original threat against
Felten.  This points out yet another example of a real constraint on the
content companies: overreaching is likely to have long-term negative effects
in the all-important sphere of public/political opinion.
