hi sc-l,

I'm just back from Spring Break in Argentina where among other things I got to visit headquarters at Core and give a
talk. There are some great people down there.

On this list from time to time, people have remarked about the importance of cycling with developers and not just
security types. The kind of shift we have all witnessed in terms of training demand from "bug parade" to "defensive
programming" reflects the central idea. In my view, we need to do as much outreach to the development community as
possible (yes, including getting involved in making the Frameworks less of a mess than they currently are).

I will be giving a keynote to a bunch of silicon valley developers in Mountain View in May at the IEEE Computer
Society's Software Experts Summit. The other keynoter at the conference is Grady Booch, and the agenda is studded with
people who speak to developers all the time. If you are in the Silicon Valley area or if you have customers who are,
please encourage them to register today:

Hope to see some of you at SES.
